I think there are a few programs that may be on the rise, due in part to their coach, but also due to the chronic cheaters getting caught.

1. Michigan - I think the jury is out on whether Hoke is a good coach. His resume, imo, is pretty so-so for a major college hire, but Michigan has traditionally kept itself clean as a program. I think they will benefit from OSU's troubles.

2. Florida - Miami's downfall will probably produce an uptick in recruiting for Florida. FSU is doing very well in recruiting, but can they stay clean?

3. Notre Dame - I think they already have a very good coach in Kelly, but the crackdown on widespread cheating may cause a lot of good athletes to look at factors in a school (other than $$$ and cars) such as their education/degree.

4. Stanford - similar to ND, but in a great area and climate. Harbaugh has put them on the map. The question is whether Shaw can keep them going. They should get a good jump with Luck returning.

You think Michigan would benefit from tougher NCAA rules/investigations? There's little to no HS football talent in the state of Michigan. With less money being thrown around, recruits will either stay home or take their talents to warmer locales. Teams like Florida, LSU, Texas A&M, UCLA will be the ones who will benefit not the Michigans and Notre Dames of the world.

I'd say that Wake Forest is the ACC program which benefits the most.

UNC is already fricked, Miami is about to be fricked, and most of the other ACC programs not named Virginia Tech or Florida State have a history of underachieving.

Considering that Jim Grobe knows how to identify and develop talent, I figure he can ride a good defense to another Orange Bowl bid.

Just like Jim Tressel was a clean coach? Rich Rodriguez wasn't exactly a man of integrity, was he?

A lot of the good athletes who want to go pro don't even graduate anyway. They either leave after their junior year or leave before their final semester to train for the combine.

I think Michigan will raid Ohio for a lot of their talent. OSU will still get their fair share, but this Michigan staff will probably make it a priority (unlike Rich Rod).

And if Rick Rod was cheating while he was at UM, he was terrible at that as well because they stunk while he was there.

No one wants to go to the Midwest schools unless they are getting the benefits.

Most likely Gainesville too. Just because it's in Florida don't make it Miami bro. Florida would suffer if they couldn't throw cash around. Same with middle of nowhere, small population deep South schools unless they just want to be close to their Mama - you figure it out.

USC, UCLA and Texas, ASU would own it.

Stanford is a long ways off from being any good, regardless of what other schools get caught.

Big schools in small towns who can control both boosters and local media. The recent big violations have basically been hangeron scumbags which you're more likely to find in big, flashy, new money urban areas. Also, being able to control local media makes a difference in not getting caught.

A school like Penn State would be in a good position

The recruits Stanford goes after are going to be more focused on academics to begin with so this won't really help our program.
