I heard this before. I had friends who would take their beer from LA to FL because supposedly LA has more alcohol. Do any of you know for certain that this is the case?
TIA

Some states have a limit of the alc. content of beer. Oklahoma is an example. You can only buy 3.2 ABW beer (4% abv)in grocery stores, gas stations etc. You can buy stronger beer in bars and liquor stores.

quote:While that might be true for MS (I believe their limit is @5%?) I believe AL, FL are the same as LA. Their maximum content may vary slightly but the normal beer should be the same.

there are a handfull of states that do regulate alcohol content. florida isn't one of them, although i've found that a case of beer is usually a few bucks cheaper in LA.

I don't know if anyone has addressed the question. In other words, is a Bud Light (for example) brewed differently to result in varying alcohol content depending on which state its distributed?
I've also wondered that. Seems impossible to do from an economic standpoint.
