It Was A Good Day

On our second(?) goal:

What a ball from Alexander Songinho. One of the best midfielders around.

If we had left our starters in it probably would have been 8-10. Subs disrupted the flow. We were remarkably good at converting shots into goals today. Way better than we have been all season.

Finally, good game.

Other note... my friend asked how old RVP is, I found out we have the same birthday. he's just 2 years older. What a great day.

The second he puts pen to paper for an extension, I'm buying his kit. So 80% chance I'm not getting a kit.

The very reason I haven't bought one yet. I'm afraid I'll jinx the whole deal and he'll leave.

From @Zonal_Marking, Arteta leads the EPL with 79 completed passes per match. When he's in our side, we've come away with 68% of the max # of points. Without him we've picked up 7% of the maximum. O_O

He has been a spectacular pick-up. Was always a fan of his at Everton. He's turned into our Xabi Alonso. Best uncapped player of this generation?

I give this about a 5% chance of happening. But still... this gave me wood.

LINK

quote:

“I really like him [Hazard] and, for several reasons: it’s his creative power, his ability to mis-align the opponent, his vision of the game and his consummate skill to address the last pass which make him a very interesting player.

“Hazard has what it takes to play for a top-level club, and Arsenal are a top-level club.”

But Wenger also advised that if he bidded for Hazard it would have to stay within his budget restraints, and the club has to make a profit every season.

He said: “You should know that each season, it is imperative to show a profit of between fifteen and twenty million pounds,”

“I would add that the purpose of a coach is to always buy at a price he sees fit.”

Nike Academy Vs Arsenal reserves

Pretty cool little bit. Nice to see that we even have problems with set pieces at the youth level.

here in the US, we consider a sports franchise a single entity... "New Orleans is a great offensive ball club." On the other side of the pond, they don't do this.

Kind of like, the Saints are a top-level club... Arsenal are a top-level club. Chelsea are a bunch of idiots. Tottenham are beyond suckage.

Just a different way to speak.
