Greg Olsen to the Panthers...

Panthers doing work. Giving Cam a security option is smart, but I'd rather play him twice vs Carolina than once, maybe twice vs. Chicago.
ETA: For a player and a pick. Not disclosed yet. Player is NOT Steve Smith.

Wonder how Shockey feels about that one

Olsen and Shockey? Are we going to see a lot of 2 TE sets?

surprised he didn't want to stay with the Bears.
It was a trade.

Considering who their QB is likely to be, I think you will see a lot of 2 TE 1 WR sets.
yeah, i thought he was a RFA for some reason...

Carolina is on the rise. Hear Bears may go after Roy Williams (WR)

I forgot about Shockey. Not very good at WR, Williams + Stewart + inexperienced QB. Yeah, a lot of 2 TE sets, plus both of those guys have occasionally motioned into the slot.

Basically a younger version of Shockey, so now they have both old and new Shockey!

Steve Smith, Olsen, Shockey, D. Williams, J. Stewart. And Brandon LaFell had a pretty good rookie season for them, if I remember correctly.
If you believe Newton is going to pan out (and I do), that's a pretty solid group of playmakers.
If the South isn't the toughest division in the league, it's certainly top 3.

Not really

Maybe but at his size and age how much does he have left anyway. Shockey is done IMO and Olsen has been overrated his whole career, maybe he was just the wrong fit in Chicago. I agree that keeping Stewart and Williams is good for them.

2nd year in a row Shockey's gonna get pushed out of town by one of his guys from DA U

Agreed, but he's still a top 10 pass catching tight end that will make them a better team.

I don't even think he's that good, it could be easily be debated that he's not even top 15.

Shockey played on one leg his whole stint with the Saints, even caught a a TD in the SB on one leg!

Shockey had more groin injuries than anyone I've ever seen.
