Anybody have good dip recipes? Olive or crab meat would be great

We are at the beach and always want little things to snack on. TIA

Google West Indies salad for an awesome crab dip.

not exactly along either one of those lines, but a terrific easy appetizer is pour dr. pete's praline mustard glaze over a block of cream cheese and serve with crackers. that stuff might as well be crack.

If you're around Orange Beach, Blalock's makes a tasty smoked tuna dip.

I like to keep cold crabclaws around at the beach to munch on. You can make a dip of cocktail sauce or whatever you like for those if you prefer a dip or eat them as they are. You can also marinate them in sort of a West Indies dressing as suggested above.

Buffalo Chicken Dip

1 can of chicken
1 block of cream cheese
1 bottle of wing sauce
1/2 cup of Ranch or Blue Cheese
2 cups of shredded cheese

these are pretty approximate. You can add more sauce if you want it hotter, etc. You can also omit the ranch/blue cheese to give it a few less calories (although I know those don't matter at the beach )

Mix together all ingredients, except 1 cup of cheese. Pour into baking dish and top with remaning cheese. Bake until cheese is melted.

Since it's going to be snacked on all day long, you could probably skip the baking step and just leave it room temp.

Serve with ritz crackers, fritos, butter crackers, etc.
