better destination than New Orleans, or the NBA for that matter.

The only way I see him not going overseas is the stigma of not being an "NBA Player"

He doesn't have a contract and won't get paid a new contract until the lock out is over. So if he can make money elsewhere it makes sense.

I dont care about anybody going anywhere at this point. I think the hornets and cp3 are gone pecan.

The NBA is a 5 or 6 team league.

If the only way for the NBA to succeed is to have 6 teams, then the NBA doesn't deserve to exist.

Talk of playing overseas by the big names is for leverage in the CBA talks.

this is the reason the NBA owners are locking out the players.

no

they're locking players out to cut the players' salaries. that's the vast majority of the reason there is a lockout

if the players do learn that they can play in europe (and adjust their lifestyle) this thing could last a long time

i'm surprised okafor hasn't looked into a team in prague, london, or paris. certainly more fabulous cities than New Orleans.

Thanks, it just seemed like an arbitrary statement without some kind of backing. Maybe the players are smarter than we think.

many are

many aren't

this time it seems like there is a better quality of person and leadership within the player ranks

It's a good thing Basketball isn't my favorite sport because this crap looks like it's going to get out of hand. The more I look at it the worse it seems to get.

I stand by this statement. You may have some that are washing up that make their way over there, but it will be more of a Beckham to LA type of situation than anything.
