Grew up in Kansas. Always listened to Royals on the radio during the 80's and watched highlights on the news at night. Now that I moved to Missouri in 98' I also follow the Cards since they're on TV and Radio a lot. But I'm a die hard Royals fan.

I've lived in Washington DC since 2007, so the Nationals it is. I never really had a team growing up because I was raised to hate the Astros and Braves.

Watching the MLB game of the week as a 7-year old at my friends house, Cubs vs. Reds at Wrigley.

Ron Santo jacks one out of the stadium and into the street where a cop caught the ball. And I was 7 and the Cubs had the cub logo on their jerseys. Fell for the Cubs and the stadium right then and there.

Of course the Cubs blew the early lead to Reds that day and I lived with the losing and deteatist attitude from the start.

But I make it for one series to Wrigley almost every year. Don't like the losing but always have a great experience.

we always had the braves on when I was a kid too, but that's because everyone was cheering against them. my dad is a huge 'stros fan, no matter how horrible they are at times. I fell for the Yankees at about ten years old and have been with them ever since, though surprisingly enough, I find myself pulling for the rays lately, they usually put together a fun game to watch.

My favorite player when I was a kid was Don Mattingly and the yanks were my grandfather's team. So I became a yankee's fan. I do also have a soft spot for the Astro's because my uncle leaves in Houston and took me to many games in the Astrodome as a kid. Also loved Ryan and Scott.

Actually going to Astro's v Sox next weekend. Debating on which to wear yanks or stros hat.

I still have my Billy Williams glove from when I played Little League. Talented teams back then with Banks, Santo, Williams & Ferggie Jenkins.

I had no choice. My dad was a Braves diehard, so we watched the Braves every day.

I live in Ohio when I was 5 years old and the Braves played the Indians in the World Series. Everyone was watching the World Series, so I started paying attention. Then we moved to Louisiana, and the Braves were always on TBS, so I became a fan.

I was a kid a really liked baseball. I would watch the Cubs and Braves on TV. The Cubs had a playoff team in the late 80's to 1990. The Braves started their run in 1991. I was 11 in 1991 when my dad took me to my first game in Fulton County Stadium. I've been a solo bravo type Braves fan ever since.

I discussed this same type of thing with a friend of mine just recently. He is a sports guy, but never attached to a colllege team of any kind. He was asking me why the southeast was so passionate about it's colllege football. I explained to him how most of us become fans way before we get to college because a father has a passion and takes the kids to a game. The passion for the team has more to do with the natural familial draw and childhood memories than anything else.

It explains how Tennessee fans still follow a struggling team that has had cheating in it's football and basketball programs. It explains why the Cubs have a passionate fan base with all the losing.

Also for a long time the Redskins were the only "southern" team. It wasn't until the 60's when the Saints and Falcons came around. So college football had a huge headstart.

From south La, grew up watching the Braves
Would always make trips out to Houston for an Astros game since it was close by, but I would just go with your gut instinct. Who would you like to watch win or lose

I probably didn't care about baseball until the 95 Indians. Would watch tons of games with my mom and grandpa. It's a geography thing though which is why I liked them in the first place.

I didn't grow up around baseball, I was drawn to football by my dad and basketball by my mom so I never followed it when I was younger. I developed and intense hate for the Yankees when I was in junior high started rooting for the Red Sox (out of hatred for the Yankees). When the Sox started reminding me of the Yankees, I leaped on to the Stros bandwagon.
