Watched him last year in Omaha. He's a strange dude, but he's fun to watch pitch

What exactly do you mean by this?
Still a little upset he shut down your Tigers?
Seriously he will likely be in the bigs very soon.

I'd have to say this dude has a rubber arm. He threw at least 20-30 pitches between innings during his start against LSU last year at the regional.

By the way, he's never had an arm injury or any discomfort. MAybe, just maybe he knows his arm better than any Major League coach or scout does. Besides, more pitchers than not get injured in today's game. Maybe Bauer's way isn't that bad.

Teams who wont allow him to do what he does likely wont draft him.

His personality will certainly piss off the old school baseball scout crowd, I'm interested to see where he goes. I think the D-Backs will grab either him or Hultzen with the number 3 pick and then wait on one of the HS kids with the 7th.

Yeah, all very impressive numbers. Tough to decide which is most impressive though.

Easily Strasburg and his 195-19 K-BB in 109 innings.

he's actually a very intelligent kid. It's not like he's some stoner or jock who is a simpleton.

If I remember right his GPA was really high in an actual useful major at UCLA.

I say, let the fricking dude pitch and prepare the way he wants.

Dude is damn good. But the not showing up for practice, going through his antics, etc. is going to catch him on the wrong side of his teammates.

He's not going to like being the rookie...

I think he's just a genetic freak.

FTR, Maddux wasn't very liked either. I bet if you ask most braves fans or management, not a single frick was given either.

I'm on the same page as you, I like that he's borderline genius and has extensively researched the bio-mechanics of pitching, but he seems like the type that always thinks he's the smartest guy in the room. Scouts aren't going to like a guy that is completely opposed to messing with his routine and delivery.

I've not read that he doesnt show up for practice. I do know that he has his own workout routine which seems to be pretty effective.

I've heard this first hand. Essentially a quirky "know it all".

Think college professor...

I've read multiple articles on him over the past few days and he definitely comes off that way with his quotes.
