Just saw a shot on Fox of the water at I-10. It's probably within 2 to 3 feet of the bridge.

I wish there was an eye in the sky that would follow the front edge.

Do we deduct from this facebook post that the water has traveled 6 miles in 26 hours?

Pretty sure the maps projected that it'd move a lot faster than that...

Only one bay has been open. There a lot of low areas that have had to fill up.

When they open more bays the water will start moving faster.

yes. News reports of water rising around krotz springs are nonsense. The water from morganza has done nothing but flood some fields so far. Water at Butte La Rose rising is from the increase flow down the river from the old river structure. Remember they push 30% down the Atchafalaya but as the Miss increases so will the volume of that 30%

actually I think the orcs taps out at 620,000 cfs so they will not be able to keep the 30% down the atchafalaya river. But, I agree for now the high water is based on orcs being wide open for awhile.

I love that people thought it would be a 100' tidal wave coming down.

The problem is thats the info that is being put out. There is a map showing in 30 hours the water would have gone all the way pass the end of the levees and turned north and backed up all the way to Melvile. What is that over 60 miles? In 24 hours it hasnt gone 4 miles

anyone know a spot where I can go sit on the levee, drink beer, and watch the tidal wave?
