I agree every year the lines are critical. But I think this o-line will continue the improvement they started last year.

And the DL could be outstanding if Montgomery comes back strong and we stay healthy.

A good DL will plug the gaps and free the LBs to roam the field and make tackles, as well as open up blitzing lanes to get into the backfield. Pressure means that the DBs don't have to stay with the WRs for as long.

A good OL will open up rushing lanes, allowing the RBs to churn out consistent yardage, while also creating a pocket for the QB to stand in and locate open receivers, giving him time to progress his reads (or tuck it if necessary).

It's amazing how much the lines can compensate for lacking in other areas.
