It could have been a Golden Eagle too. Not sure. I know it was active back then and it was one big arse bird.

I'll be on the look out for the adult bald beaver tonight. I'm going spotlighting.

My dad said they have a Bald Eagle that goes hang out near my granny's house which is a few houses down from my parents.

They live off LA 1 where Bayou Lafourche and the Intracoastal meet.

Here in Colorado I see them quite often. There is a set of 5 lakes on the mountain above Battlement Mesa. Elevation is around 10,000 feet. Only accessible by foot, horseback, ATV, or Jeep. The largest and prettiest lake has a bald eagle that stays there. Pretty awesome because those lakes don't receive much traffic.

Saw about 30 swarming last summer near the house, attacking salmon in the shallows. About 3,000 gather on the banks of the Chilkat River in Haines, about 80 miles north of here every fall. It's a helluva sight.

I've only seen a couple of bald eagles in my life, but I saw one back in January. It was sitting on a single stump sticking out of the water about 30 yards from a bridge crossing Sam Rayburn Lake, TX. Texastiger34 will vouch for me because he was there. It was pretty cool.

LIVE Eagle Cam

I've been following this nest for over a week now. I saw the eaglets hatched. I've seen Daddy bring in several trout to the nest and watched Momma mouth feed her babies. The little ones have grown so much in a week.
