Looking for a pair of waterproof and insulated chest waders for next season. Anyone have any input? I know the favorite is lacrosse but does anyone have any experience with any other brands?? I don't really have a budget. Just want something that will last me and justify the price.

I have a pair of Lacrosse waders that I don't really have any complaints about.
I buddy of mine uses the new Drake waders and he swears by them, but they're more expensive than your average pair.

I got a pair of neoprene waders from cabelas a couple of years ago...pricey, but easily the best pair of waders I have ever worn...
I expect to have them for another 10 years unless I go nuts and run through a briar patch or something like that...

Drake Waders
I've got these and they freaking rock...
Also I hunted probably 30 or more days out of them last season and they've held up well.

No such animal. I buy a new pair every October. I can't get them to last no matter the price or brand.

What the hell could you be doing to yours to make them last only 1 season? How do you store them after the season? Are you buying really cheap waders?

Funreaux, what model do you have? Any idea why the EST waders are so much more expensive than the others?

Well lets see,
1. I probably hunt a little more than the average fellow.
2. I am rough on equipment. (So I'm told)
3. I will replace at the first sign of leakage.
4. I have owned Hodgeman, Lacrosse, Cabelas, and last season I wore Frog Toggs.

Had a pair of Hodgman waist highs for last 4 years, never a problem. Probably 50-60 outings. Never back to chest highs for me.

What about hip boots? Several years ago, Lacrosse apparently changed materials in the lower boot portion and they crack after about a year. I've tried the best Cabela's branded boots too and they do the same. I've even tried the Lacrosse protectant and that doesn't really help make them last either.
I can't make a pair last 2 seasons without patching leaks.
