2. Moving it back to the NBA line in CBB would be disastrous.

"disastrous" in what way?

Ok disastrous was quite the overstatement. It probably was a "disastrous" word choice.

But that being said, the numbers support my general opinion. College hoops has a lower % than the NBA. I think that shows that people to overboard with the hate for it in college.

And while not "disastrous", I think moving the college line to where the NBA has would just likely get that much lower.

i dont think there would be a big difference because shot selection would come into play a lot more

i really just meant which aspect would be affected more than calling you out for possible exaggeration

i think the rate wouldn't go down as badly b/c it would stop teams from relying on the 3 ball and only the good shooters would shoot them in high volume

my main point is cbb shoots a lower % than the NBA.

34% isn't some really high number. It's actually not a bad number at all, plenty realistic and not overdone IMO.

So I guess I don't see the need to extend it.

I think shel was right on disastrous. I don't think teams would take less three-pointers, they would just shoot them at a much lower percentage, depressing scoring. The return of games in the 40s with dismal shooting is not my idea of appetizing basketball.

No. I can't bring myself to do it. I watch about 10 minutes before Mrs. Baloo looks at me and says, "really?" And I have no response.

God, we suck.

the amount of division I college teams >>>> amount of NBA teams

so 34% is rather high

Don't give me this "everyone loves an underdog" bs the tourney in which George Mason got to the final 4 was putrid.

None of those final 4 games were close. Why is that one teams fault?

Should college 3 pt line be moved back
to the NBA standard? I think so, it would mean fewer "cinderella" mid-major teams

Yeah right...a good high school three point shooter can hit bombs from NBA range let alone a good college three point shooter...I'm not opposed to moving the line back but it has nothing to do with eliminating cinderella teams

How? It is an average.

Do you want the average to be 30% or lower?
