Gary Patterson is not leaving TCU...for any other job. He has turned down every school that contacted him the past three years. He will not be LSU's coach, period.

saying zero percent implies there is nothing that could sway him. What are his chances of leaving TCU for LSU? I don't know. I'd like to see him turn down 3.75 million, LSU's facilities, and recruiting base before I put it at zero. Its not like he's fricking Belichick with the Patriots who is at the pinnacle of his profession

all right, all right i'll put it at 1%

I'm not saying we are going to hire him but I'll laugh my arse off if we do.

. it might be in the 15% range-not very good- but i dont think he'd stonewall the phone call either
to be clear i don't think it's zero but i definitely don't think its likely either.

1.6 million vs. 3.75
TCU's facilities vs. LSU's
ability to recruit to TCU vs. to LSU

I mean, I'd say the guy is borderline insane if he got an LSU offer and turned it down.

I have serious doubts Patterson would be offered Miles' salary.

TCU's alumni have handed him over 150 million dollars to build facilities (including a new stadium) to his EXACT desires.

yet he makes 1.6m

Im sure he just told them "look guys I dont want 3-4 million, Im good with 1.6"

Speaking of offering coaches, how will Alleva do when it comes to getting a great football guy for the program?

Nick saban made 5 million a year with the Dolphins

Jim Harbaugh was offered 8 million yesterday to coach Miami and Saban's resume is much better.

LSU can afford to pay to get the right guy

that is fricking idiotic.

He was given A LOT of Barnett Shale sp? stock if he remains in FW. It is enough to be wayyyyyy more than anyone will ever make coaching. He isnt leaving.

Exactly. Patterson might be deeply invested in TCU, but to say 0% is just stupid.

At the end of the day, TCU is still TCU and a soon to be Big East school. TCU may not even the best HC job in the Big East. Now, whether he is content there or not is a different story.

if i had to guess it would be in the 2.5 range; which is prolly where miles would be if he hadn't won a national title. there are few coaches in the country that we would pay what miles is making now just for the sheer fact that they would likely have to have an established track record of winning at a high level in a BCS conferene.

Hopefully we go more towards the Emmert route than the Skip Roth route.

I wouldn't say that at all. If you were a football coach, which schedule would you rather play?

serious question; how many coaches today make north of $4M per year and haven't won a national title? maybe i'm wrong but i'm guessing i could count them on one hand with plenty of fingers to spare.
