I'd call this win a landmark win. Even though it might not get them the Division Title, it was definitely a statement that they can go on the road into a hostile environment and still beat one of the top two or three teams in the NFL.

These teams are very closely matched. I was very impressed w Van Gorder's defense schemes. He was great at UGA. What happened to Roddy White in the 3rd Quarter? Why did the Falcons rush 3 DL's on the key play of the game? (The one thing I think Van Gorder screwed up). It was a great game; hard fought and hard hitting. I think Tampa is a notch below these teams.

The Falcons have a "signature win": it was week three. It set the tone for the rest of the season.

The Saints have two "signature wins": last night and vs. Pittsburgh.
