a fingernail away from losing to UNC, Tennessee, and Ole Miss. Not to mention the putrid offensive performances against Vanderbilt, West Virginia, and MCNEESE STATE.

Man's paid to win

Who WON those games anyway?

Excactly.

Mack has 1 BCS NC ring, Saban has 2 BCS NC rings, Meyer has 2 BCS NC rings, Stoops has 1 BCS NC ring and LM has 1 BCS NC ring. Do you see what those 5 have that most coaches don't have? Maybe you have it wrong. Maybe those coaches are payed to bring home the crystal and not to help boost your ego yearly.

Spurrier is underpaid at just a little bit over two million. Georgia Tech's coach makes way over two million to pass the ball 3-4 times a game and run the option! Intense pressure on someone like Saban and Brown to produce EVERY year making that kind of money. Look out if Texas doesn't produce next year. Saban will have a heart attack if he stays more than another year.

Exactly, most coaches have a clause saying that if they win a National Championship they will be one of the top paid coaches in the nation. That's why most of them have huge salaries compared to the rest. It's well warranted IMO.

Jimmy Sexton is the man. An athletic department trying to keep money in their pockets while negotiating with Sexton is like a groupie trying to keep her legs closed while hanging out with Wilt Chamberlain or Gene Simmons.

No Miles should get all the credit in the world for winning in spite of Crowton. But Miles is getting paid elite level money to win championships at LSU. LSU will never compete for a championship until this joke of an offensive coordinator is fired. If Miles does not address obvious problems, he's not doing what he can to improve the LSU program.

Mack had 2 seasons in a row with only 1 loss after a complete season. This followed a national title a few years earlier.
Saban had an undefeated regular season, followed by two losses, and the next year was an undefeated national title.
Meyer had a 3 out of 4 year run with 2 national titles, and finished the year with only 1 loss.

In Les Miles' 6 years at LSU, how many seasons did LSU finish with 1 loss or less?

You mean like the 4 T/Os we had vs Tennessee? Yeah, we got all the breaks in that game.

Or maybe you mean the Gator 1st TD dive that covered all of 17 yds or the 2nd Gator TD that covered all of 16 yds.

Hey, maybe you are talking bout all the "breaks" we got in the Bama game of 09. Remember those breaks? Losing starters at TE, center, RB, QB, and having a blind replay ref.

Breaks happen all the time for you and against you. Some need to get over that BS.

Each to our own, but I have never in my life bitched bout a win and I never will.

But they're top 5 paid coaches. So, according to you, their teams should always be in the top 5.

So are 5-8 other coaches at their respective schools. But guess what? Only one can win it each year. So, are you saying that the rest of them are overpaid any year they don't win it all?

Meh, Bruce Sutter made more than a million per win with the Atlanta Braves. Ten year guaranteed contract. Bad arm after one year.

I didn't say always. I have just pointed out that this will be the 3rd year in a row that we will finish out of the top 5 (all of those coaches have finished in the top 5 the previous two seasons). We might make it 3 years in a row outside of the top ten (but I pulling for the win).

Also, those other coaches have all had multiple seasons of 1 loss or less. Coach Miles has never had even one season like that.

What about his 5-7 season this year? with that RIDICULOUS amount of talent? You left that out.

What about Alabama being picked to win the National Championship and then commence to losing 3 games and blowing a 24 point lead in one half to your biggest rival at home? Oh, and getting pummeled by a Non-AQ school on national TV. You left that out. I'll just leave the ULM thing out.

Meyer had a 3 out of 4 year run with 2 national titles, and finished the year with only 1 loss.

What' about an 8-4 season WITH Tebow? How about this season? You left that out.

He's got more rings that ALOT of coaches in the country.

Stop acting as if Miles should be impeccable because he will never be. Because they don't exist regardless of what they're paid.

LM 78.8 win % 1nc in 5 years 4 mil at LSU
NS 79.2 win % 1nc in 3, 2nc in 7 6 mil
MB 79.6 win % 1nc in 12 years 5mil at tex
UM 81 win % 2 nc in 5 years 4 mil at Florida
BS 80.5 win % 1 nc in 11 years 5 mil at OU

Les is paid just right comparably
Urban Meyer is under paid comparably
Nick's win % skewed due to 1st year roster, but 2 mil over Les and Urban is being overpaid.
