i'm guessing none.
Why would I want a HC that's been here for 6 years to have a grace period due to hiring GC and then having to turn around and replace GC with someone on the opposite end of the spectrum than what our offensive philosophy has always been? Especially considering that HC is an offensive guy himself?
He of all people should know patience is not a luxury you have in the SEC.

Truthfully I would take a High School HC os OC over Crowton at this point.

Also, if Leach were to take the OC job, how many years do you think he would stay in that position? I'd put the over/under at 2. Would that be worth it?

We would basically be a P.R. stepping stone for Leach.

Its very hard to play defense with Leach's offense, as it leaves the defense on the field for far too long. He doesn't have the ability to run the clock correctly to keep your defense from getting gassed.
if your defense has depth, it shouldn't be an issue...

Where is all this Leach talk coming from? Did i miss something?
Posted on 11/29/10 at 12:43 pm to Chicken
I agree Chicken.
Defense has really been the least of our concerns at LSU for a long time and will stay that way.
Only time our D really showed fatigue this were was the Arky game.

our offense leaves our d on the field way to long and puts way more pressure on them than a leach o would put on our d. so saying his o will hurt our d more than gary already does is a bunch of bullshite.
exactly. 3 and outs are not helping our defense at all

belowpar mentioned that Leach will be contacted to gauge his interest...
Posted on 11/29/10 at 12:43 pm to Chicken
which LSU has plenty of depth and like has been mentioned our d is already on the field all day. the only difference is with leach they would at least have a cushion to work with.
also i dont see anything wrong with being a stepping stone for oc/dc to head coach jobs. it makes the position that much more desirable.

they keep the ball on the ground though...Auburn has squeaked out a couple of shootouts

Yep. Something Leach has never been known for.
I understand he can make changes but I don't see him changing that much.

in college football, the coordinators positions are almost always stepping stones.
dont tell me that leach's ego is too big and he wouldnt accept an oc position. he is gonna have to take an oc position somewhere if he wants to be a hc again.

Quick strike is quick strike no matter how it's done by pass, run and/or special teams. You argument to Chicken is a Fail or weak at best.

Not at all, window licker.
It was pointing out that they are both run first which isn't what Leach is known for.

quote:yes, in fact. As it pertains to Fore's argument (tiring out the defense), it doesn't matter how they're scoring when you avg under 2 min per scoring drive.

O dont know if I like the idea of Leach to LSU as OC. I think he might lock Lee and JJ in a shed for their last year
Posted on 11/29/10 at 1:31 pm to stout
I don't know what window licker means or implies, so I will take it as disrespectful. Quick strike was the topic of Chicken's statement not the difference between run first or pass first. Either way you need to calm down and clean you mouth.
