Micheal Ford is NOT better than Stevan Ridley and he will soon be behind Spencer Ware as well. Ford is a very serviceable back, but it is clear now that we have gotten a good look at him, that he is not the "game changer" we were hoping for.
In the SEC, in the BIG games, being able to tough out that 3rd and 1 or 4th and inches is what wins. It might not be sexy, and it doesn't make the highlight reels like those flashy runs against the weak sisters does....but the way Ridley runs is an absolute MUST if you want to win against the big boys. Ridley is better than Ford at this and while I am sure that he will find a niche for himself on this team, I think when push comes to shove, he will always be behind Ridley, Ware and probably Hilliard when he arrives here.
