I would stand the whole game if I could but I do realize that the people behind me would like to see so I don't. That being said, I am quick to pop up if there is a big play.

I always ask people in front of me that are standing is to exchange seats and then I don't care how much they stand.......

I stand on big plays (i.e. kickoff, 3rd downs on defense, last couple minutes and game is on the line etc.). But I also try to respect those behind me and sit when most everyone else is sitting. But if anyone has a problem with me standing during pivotal times in the game...screw em!!!
Now as far as taking out the seats...seems like the recent fan base is becomming well known for leaving early...way early! What would they do if they had to stand the entire time?

Standing has its place, at the right moments. If you want to stand just to stand, go to Texas A&M. You can make out with your girlfriend too every time you score a touchdown.

Only Douche schools like TAMU stand all game. Tradition with no meaning behind it, is soulless and stupid. Living here in Houston, I get a gut full of Aggie stupidity. The LAST thing I want is to come home to Tiger Stadium and see a bunch of morons standing the whole game mindlessly.
Besides, when something awesome happens a 92K screaming Tigers fans leap to their feet, earthquakes happen.
Sit down when nothing's happening, rise as one when we kick arse.

Standing the entire time outside of the student section is rude and inconsiderate because you are failing to realize two things:
1. There are older people in the stands who cannot physically do this for 3 straight hours.
2. There are kids and families who can't see even if they could do this for 3 straight hours.
