ESPN: Tigers impress Dwyer trio

Tigers impress Dwyer trio
West Palm Beach (Fla.) Dwyer standouts Nick O'Leary, outside linebacker Curt Maggitt and quarterback Jacoby Brissett all watched LSU beat Alabama in person during their official visits last weekend and came home impressed.
"They all really liked it a lot. They are all considering going there," Dwyer coach Jack Daniels said in a text message. "LSU is in the top three for all."
That would be quite a coup for LSU. Right now no one really knows what Brissett will do and LSU would love to land a second signal caller. Stephen Rivers (Athens, Ala./Athens), San Diego Chargers QB Philip Rivers' younger brother, has already committed to the Tigers. LSU is the one of the finalists for Butler Community College standout Zach Mettenberger. The Tigers are also on the prowl with Bridgewater, a Miami commit who will likely make an official visit to Baton Rouge next month.
FSU has been the rumored team to beat with O'Leary, but Miami and LSU are right there. Meanwhile, the Gators could be Maggitt's pick come national signing day, but LSU, Wisconsin and Alabama have all made big impressions on him.
quote:
Miami's most high-profile commitment is Miami Northwestern QB Teddy Bridgewater, who attends the same high school that sent eight recruits to the Canes in 2008, including current QB Jacory Harris. But there have been whispers that Bridgewater could end up somewhere else, specifically LSU. There was talk of him visiting LSU last weekend, but it was just that, talk as he didn't make the trip. Still, he's one worth watching.

I love hearing that about the Dwyer trio. While FSU is out in front for O'Leary, you have to think LSU will move way up if we reel in Brissett and Maggitt

Need to offer him a job to wrap up all 3. This guy needs to be in Baton Rouge with a name like that.

That's assuming Bidgewater doesn't commit and we stop recruiting Brissett. I don't see how the Dwyer trio come to LSU unless we get Brissett.

quote:Very true. I doubt we get the trio anyways. I think we still walk away with Maggitt if we get Bridgewater/Brissett.

Yes, not landing Brissett would really hurt our chances at getting the Dwyer trio.

i could see Brissett and Maggitt, based on need and position coaching, but O'Leary is all FSU, IMO...
and as far as "trios" or "duos" that have to play together when they are going through the recruiting process, yeah, i don't buy their bullshite... same thing was said about Ray Ray Armstrong couple of seasons ago and Seastrunk last year...
eventually, recruits are going to go somewhere they can play early and be prepared well for the next level...

Ray Ray, Dye, and Debose never said they were looking to play at the same college. Ray Ray and Dye had always been all Miami and Debose was LSU or Florida.
Staying on subject though, Brissett and Maggitt do look like the biggest possibilities, but it would help speed the process if Florida starting reeling in other LBers before Maggitt goes that route. The sooner we get those two on board, the more we can start to lure O'Leary away

That would be sweet if we could pull all three out of Florida.

FWIW,info I've been told is that we either get all 3 or none.Popular thought is Brissett/O'Leary=FSU and Maggitt=UF-if they turn him away Bama probably gets him-If they turn him down we might have the choice to take him or turn him down.
