If Gates even plays, is likely to last the whole game?

New player notes Sat, Nov 6
According to the San Diego Union-Tribune's Kevin Acee, Gates (foot) was walking "pretty good" before Saturday's walk-through.
Recommendation: Gates is officially listed as doubtful, but Acee goes as far as to say it's a "safe bet" that the tight end plays Sunday against the Texans. However, as anyone who has dealt with plantar fasciitis knows, it's a nasty injury, one that makes doing any kind of running or cutting difficult. Even if Gates plays, there's a legitimate chance that he doesn't make it through the full game. Then again, he has a great matchup and a history of fighting through pain, so perhaps the usual rules don't apply here. One thing is for sure: you must check back Sunday morning to verify that he's active before even considering starting him this week.

That only makes things worse...I'd rather him just not play.
