Hands,

Who are they going to bring to town to replace Bustle? I have a hard time believing that the Peppers can bring in a quality coach given the current state of the program.

I made a thread about coaches I want a week or two ago. Our next coach will be getting paid more than Bustle because of the RCAF. My top guy right now is probably Mark Hudspeth.

I really hope you guys get a better coach. Louisiana could use a second team making noise.

The next ULL coach will be Ed Orgeron. Book it! He wanted $800,000 for himself and $$ for his assistance. ULL said no can do. Orgeron came back and said he will take $800,000 total for himself and his assistants. He can't wait to get out of Cali.

I don't think our administration wants to hire a guy with that much baggage.

Don't worry, Dykes and Franklin will have us rollin' up in Ruston, buddy! Tech's got ya covered!

As for ULL, it is about FRIGGIN' time Bustle gets canned, good God. That'll be a massive sigh of relief for Cajun fans if/when that happens, I'm sure! Y'all need a MUCH better hire this go-'round. :)

I'll say Rickey Bustle wasn't a terrible hire, he took over the worst team in all of college football and he's gotten us to 6 wins three or four times in 9 years, I think. The problem is, that's his max.. he can't get us to the next level. I appreciate Rickey Bustle taking us out of the Baldwin Era, but 9 years is long enough.

I agree.

Why so much focus on bowl eligibility (6-6)?? It seems like that means that you are basically in the top 70 teams our of 120 or so (just better than average)? I understand that becoming average is the first step for the program (based on where they are and have been), however it seems that this is the measuring stick at the beginning of each season as well.

It seems like a mindset change needs to accompany the head coaching change.

since 2002 102 of 120 D-1A teams have played in a bowl

ULaLa is not one of those 102 teams

my buddy works in a PT office that helps rickey bustle with his back therapy. when bustle saw one of their PTs last week, Bustle told them to meet the NCAA minimum requirement of 70 players on a road trip, ULaLa had to dress 7 walk-ons for the Ohio game.

It'll get better hopefully though when the next guy takes y'all to the next level. There's really no excuse for ULL not to rule their conference, I think even in the shadow of LSU down the road.
