It was painful to watch the clusterfrick going on. You have people that have no clue what the play is, you have a time out but don't use it to get everyone on the same page. If there is one play all year which sums up our coaching blunders, to me this one is it. To big of a play to just hope we get it right. What do you think?

fireable offense, possibly the worst thing miles has done to date.

Well, we couldn't get it right during the 1st timeout, what makes you think the coaches could articulate anything to the players during another one?

Someone mentioned earlier that you can't call consecutive time outs

Maybe taking a delay there would have been the smart move?

The point is that there was too much confusion coming out of a TO

Unacceptable

Some are under the impression that it was a trick play designed to fool Auburn into thinking we had too many players on the field.

I think most coaches, knowing that they're going to use the timeout, would have had their offense line up in that situation (4th and 6) and attempt to draw a team that had consistently timed our count all day long offsides.

4th and 1 would have been more appealling to me. If you are unsuccessful, the worst thing that happens is you call the timeout you intended to call anyway.

I don't care how long and how hard one attempts to defend Miles, it's the repeated lack of preparation and direction in these times that call into question everything he does.

I'm going to let the season play out, and then try to assimilate a list of management issues over the course of Miles tenure. I'm going to start with ends of each half and every timeout used, then look for delay of game penalties. I figure it'll take the entire offseason to prepare such a document.

you can in college IIRC, i was wrong about that earlier in the season -- in the NFL it's against the rules

TT mailed it in on that play.. again. how many times has he done that during his career? wish he would have gone pro last season.

I have to laugh or I'll cry, because we had one guy (RS) who didn't even know he was supposed to be in the play.

We should have just told Lee to kneel and called it a day.

I think he was trying his Tenn strategy. Have your own players so confused that it confuses the other coach and they put 13 men on the field. Luckily our coaches, unlike Derek Dooley, can count.
