Yikes. I don't see a breather in there. As an LSU fan, I think our schedule, especially the spacing this year, has been very good. Normally, there are several tough games, but they're sandwiched around easy games (McNeese, Vandy, ULL, etc). This schedule is just nuts because there are really no breathers (other than maybe Wake). 10 games against BCS conference teams, and 2 games against Independents (Navy and BYU).

2012

Sept. 1 Navy (Dublin, Ireland)
Sept. 8 PURDUE
Sept. 15 at Michigan State
Sept. 22 MICHIGAN
Sept. 29 Open Date
Oct. 6 MIAMI (Soldier Field, Chicago)
Oct. 13 STANFORD
Oct. 20 BYU
Oct. 27 at Oklahoma
Nov. 3 PITTSBURGH
Nov. 10 at Boston College
Nov. 17 WAKE FOREST
Nov. 24 at USC

Seriously? 10 games against BCS teams, 1 against Navy, and 1 against BYU. You have to account for the fact that ND's opponents will have cupcakes in their schedules and will be gearing up to play ND. ND will have to be ready to play at a high level in just about every one of those games. Every team needs a few cupcakes throughout their schedule, both in terms of getting easy wins, getting your backups playing time, and resting important players after a tough stretch of games.

The last 3 games should all be wins.

You can't be that stupid-- that's a tough schedule for any team.

I didn't say it wasn't tough, i just said its not THAT tough, like omg crap my pants tough. Playing a schedule with 5-6 ranked teams on it and some lessers teams is harder IMO than playing 2-3 ranked teams and then average teams.

There could easily be 5 ranked teams on that schedule to start the season and just about every team has the potential to be in the top 25 during a given season.

That is a really tough schedule, on paper at least. If they can make it through that unscathed then bcs champs but that won't happen.

There is no such thing as a sure win for ND.

That is one of the coolest schedules i've seen. Can you imagine being a player and going to Ireland, Los Angeles, Oklahoma, Boston, and Chicago? Plus you get to play against da U, USC, OU, and Michigan on top of all those bcs teams? Just awesome. The schedule is tough
