Yes, they will finish with 7-8 wins. He won't get fired at that point.

It depends on how bad that injury turns out to be to his #1 QB

to be fair to michigan ---they outgained iowa by 100 yards while putting up 500 yards vs a very good defense---and both their losses are vs top 15 teams---

with that said, i think they beat penn state and purdue-----and lose to illinois, wisconsin, and ohio state which puts them at------7-5----does 7-5 get him fired?? thats a tough call-------

The fact that Greg Robinson is still on his staff should be a fireable offense

If they lose to Ohio State they'll be 0-3 against MSU, 0-3 against OSU, with a terrible Big10 conference record during his tenure. He's gone IMO, or should be.

Michigan needs a more cerebral coach, like a Les Miles.

Yep, losing rivalry games is a cardinal sin.

The big question is would that be enough improvement to buy RR one more year? If not, Miles to Michigan

Hard to argue that the offense hasn't improved by leaps and bounds.

Defense on the other hand seems to be worse than ever.

I think they finish 8-4 and that keeps him in his job.

Heck, I think even 7-5 keeps his job intact because once again the offense is working.

He will be told to fire he defensive coordinator if he finishes 7-5. Maybe even at 8-4.

Rich Rod's conference records:

2010: 1-2
2009: 1-7 (after starting 4-0 lol)
2008: 2-6

Yes he will. I think they beat PSU, Illinois and Purdue which gives them 8 wins. He wont get fired. Its gonna be very important for him to get a good D coordinator. Its unacceptable how bad their defense is.

He's had a different d-coordinator every year he's been there.

The problem is he doesn't give a flying frick about recruiting anybody on defense.

The big 10 teams he has beaten in 2+ yrs: Minnesota, Indiana, & Wisconsin. & that has happened when the big 10 is at the worst its ever been. He's lucky the ad was a lame duck last year but he's going to have to win out to save his job

If Michigan's smart, they'll go get Harbaugh at the end of this year before someone (either college or pro) beats them to the punch.

Harbaugh is the next Saban IMO.
