Predictability is a good thing. Because once the other team assumes it can predict what you're going to do, you have the ability, in the right situation, to catch them unprepared for what you really do.

It's a little different when the runs are going for 5 or more yards per attempt. Then you're steamrolling to first downs and affecting confidence. LSU was not able to do this, and instead were averaging 2-3 yards per carry, it's a sizable difference.
