“We try to give them those things that we feel like they’ll be successful with. Sometimes certain sets benefit certain guys and certain experiences similarly. I think you’ll see more of Michael Ford. I keep saying that, and I mean it. It’s not that I’m not seeing that. I would like to get Michael Ford on the field for some carries here as we go forward.”
He does keep saying that.

Which is why people keep harassing him about Ford.
He wasn't asked directly about Ford, but chose to bring him up on his own.

Maybe with Blue's fumble again last game, Ford may get his chance.

Then he needs to tell that idiot OC this

Yes, the other 4 RBs have fumbled 6 times, I would try him too. What is Miles waiting for?

My thoughts are that he doesn't say a lot about WHY Ford isn't getting his carries now. I still believe that it may have something to do with off the field issues, (maybe like either school or even some injury/rehab. work he needs to finish) and he DOES keep bringing Ford into the discussion as a means of "encouraging" Ford to do whatever it is he needs to do and get his chance.... wants the player to know he's got a place to play as soon as whatever is going on is cleared up...

We heard similar BS about Russell Sheppard last year. Keiland Williams wasn’t good enough for Miles but amazingly he made the Washington Redskins roster. Miles’ press conferences and radio show are just that…a show

Why can't he just stop with the first line? Just say we are playing the players and plays that we think will give us the best chance to win.
When he goes and says

I think Miles sometimes misses the point because he is so worried about game planning. Some things can't be planned.
Do you think Shaun Alexander was even in the game plan that year in Tiger Stadium when he was the third string RB? If not for injuries we wouldn't have seen him on the field. He had his practice cleats on because they were more comfortable than the game cleats.
Sometimes you have to unleash great atheletes and let them make things happen. I think that is one of Miles mistakes. Put all those guys on the field and see what they do.

I swear I didn't understand a word of that statement, but it sounds like something he would say!

Every time I read a Les Miles quote my brain feels numb.

As soon as Ford shows Miles that he has a want to run the ball we will see more Ford.

Linguistically speaking, this is the thought structure of a heavy, chronic user of marijuana. Not that that's a bad thing.
