How did we not cover?? When they reviewed the 2pt conversion, I had a good feeling we were going to cover....but they threw some nickle and dime passes for the FG.

As the above poster stated, no reason to go for a TD to end the game.

Even if the game goes to OT and the Saints score a TD, you're not gonna cover anyway. You were gonna push.

I took it and we should have had that, cant believe they let 49ers just trot down the field............I also lost with philly to detroit after they blew an 18 point lead with 5min to go in the 4th quarter. I sometimes think this crap is fixed to make the vegas guys look good and make them a boat load of money....detroit couldnt move the ball for 3 quarters and all of a sudden they look like last years saints in the final 5 minutes

I guess this is why a lot of people say that when the home team is the underdog, take the points.

you took a road team coming off a win vs a back against the wall home team who was embarrasd getting points on MNF....?

that is a recipe for a loss. (at least betting wise)

You should have known they weren't gonna cover when san fran scored at the end of the game.. buck up and take Toronto today. That's how i compensate for a loss, I loss more or break even.

missing the field goal was a concern with the way the wind was swirling all night. Hell, he almost did miss it...... looked like a duck.

no reason?

Most coaches are going to play for the FG in that situation for good reason.

But there were significant winds in the stadium (enough to waste 2 timeouts in the 1st Quarter trying to play the wind) and your kicker had missed 2 mid range kicks the week before. As it turned out, the kick was blocked and was fortunate to still clear the crossbar.

I'm not saying playing for the FG was a bad call. It wasn't. But, there are plenty of reasons to push for the TD. There just wasn't enough time.
