3d AV Receiver Help

I bought a Pioneer Elite VSX-30 model receiver but am having problems with the 3d effect of the TV. Is there a specific HDMI input I need to use or are they all equal? I have the 1.4 HDMI cables run from the Blu-Ray to the receiver, the receiver to the TV. I'm not sure if only 1 HDMI input works for 3d or what the issue is. I have looked through the manual and can't find anything stating I need to turn the option on. Any advice / help? Thanks.

Dumb question I know, but what are you using for source material? 3-D Blu-ray?

Another dumb question, do you have a 3d tv?
Edit: If yes, are your 3d channels working, just not blu-ray?
