I don't think Danielson is criticizing the QB as much as he is Crowton.

If Danielson thinks the QB play last year was worse than the OL or DL play, I don't know what to tell him. Can't deny Jefferson's struggles last year, but I would still put his play above those two units' performances.

Danielson had 14 Tds and 30 int at Purdue 2 yr starter that is atrocious?!!!

He thinks the offensive line play was sufficiently non-atrocious to credit them with having 5 or 6 players on the field? He should (and probably does) know it wasn't all on the quarterbacks, but he says what he thinks his listeners want to hear, and he was on Finebaum.

Gary Danielson is a pretty intelligent man. At least everyone associated with the LSU team is saying all the right things going into this season. But then again, words are cheap.
I can't believe that JJ had the restraints on him all of last season...Seems like the restraints would've loosened up a little after each game. Oh well, who are we to question the great wisdom of Les Miles.

I dont think JJ was horrible. I mean he wasnt great. He made some very bad decisions at times. But i also dont see any reason why he could get anything but better with the experience he didnt have last season. With the way things are moving, Christmas might get here before Saturday does.

Doesn't a statement like this throw into question his objectivity vis a vis televising an LSU football game.
Oh and by the way Gary, the viewers haven't been fooled we've known for years that you don't like LSU.
