"Which QB would you take if you had to start a football team, Brees or Rodgers?" CC said "either/or". Is he just dumb or is he still sour about last year with us beating his Vikes?

Start a football team usually means u look at age also.

Rodgers has 6 years on Brees. If he had been asked who do you want this year I'm sure he would have said Brees

ETA take the names out of it. Would you rather 5 more years of a top 2 qb, or 10 more years of a top 5 qb.

I'd still take Brees but it's not crazy to go the other way either.

Calm down now. I was fine with it too. Rodgers is talented as they come.

I'd take Rogers over any player in the league if I was starting a team.

He's ultra talented

He's OBVIOUSLY a team player (handled Favre saga great, didn't throw his HORRENDOUS) Oline under the bus last year.

Is tough and seems like a great guy who wants to be a GREAT football player.

Is he sour about it? Yeah, most likely.

doesn't make what he said actually stupid. Aaron Rodgers is a legitimate top 5 QB.

I saw Chis Carter on NFL Live a few weeks ago and he was asked to name the elite QBs in the league. He mentioned Brady, Manning, Rogers, Rivers, and Romo. Never even mentioned Brees. Went on and on about those guys and never even brought Brees up. Guy has a problem with the Saints. Always has, in my opinion.

Its in our nature to wanna hear the media talk about the saints like gods, it really is.

We want them to acknowledge that Brees is the best QB in the NFL, that we have the best receiving corps, that our pass defence is top 5, etc. etc. etc.

But frankly, IMO, the saints are a team that does better without the distraction of living up to the media. They have nothing left to prove, they were THE BEST team in the NFL last year, regardless of what dumb fricks like CC say.

He's clearly taking Rodgers' age into consideration... It's a pretty logical answer if ya ask me...

Rodgers will be the best QB in the league starting in about 2 years... I love Drew Brees but he isn't getting any younger and Rodgers seems to just get better and better and better every damn day... He's my number 2 QB in the league and he's almost up there with Brees in my eyes.

If I wasn't biased and had to choose a QB, it would be Rodgers.

yeah he's dumb

i like when they say "if you're starting a team". well you want to win now, not in 5 years, so take the better player. in that case it's brees. 7 years of a top 1 qb or 15 of a top 5, hmmmm...

As far as everyone talking about CC hating on the Saints, I dunno about that, but he was on M&M last Friday also, and when asked his SB picks for this season, he not only picked the Saints, but argued vehemently for them.

I actually asked a friend this last night and I might have to go with Rodgers, strictly on the age thing.

Rodgers is a hell of a quarter back and I'm sure has surprised a lot of us with his talent. I think he would do well in our system but I don't know about his leadership skills. Drew is a great leader and expects the best out of everyone if your going to step on the field with him. Leadership + talent is why I'd choose breece.
