What has grewe done to make him actually a really good coach? And how long were these guys throwing while injured ?

I know injuries can happen to anybody and sometimes fluke injuries occur...but something seems fishy when 3 of our promising pitchers aol get the same injury...not to mention the injury that ruined ranaudo's last year...i remember reading at the beginning of the yr that all of the pitchers were developing breaking balls...what's the possibility that grewe played a role in a lot of these guys getting hurt? I'm not a grewe fan at all, but apparently he's one of mainieri's boys so I don't think he's going anywhere anytime soon...unfortunately.

Developing those breaking balls can do some damage to arms.... GD, I never heard about this but I really could see this contributing to AR and the latest injuries we've had. Maybe the guys who skipped town knew this, and that's part of the reason they left. Also, I don't think Grewe would be a bad coach in a different role, like I stated earlier.... Just not monitoring/coaching our pitchers.

How would Tommy John surgery effect a football player. Say, maybe, a quarterback?
arms often come back stronger after the surgery. So, our QB's would now be able to overthrow our WR's by 20 yards whereas they struggled to overthrow them by 10 yards before the surgery.

You people kill me sometimes with your knowledge....
You guys ever think about shite like this starting to develop from these kids in little league and highschool.... Its more than likely this type of shite starts at a young age during their little league years. You can't blame a college pitching coach on something like this. If they are studs now, they were studs then and got abused going through their young years b/c they could throw harder than everyone else. Just look at the kids on tv this week, ooooo they are throwing the equivalent of 95mph and this same kid of the 95 or so pitches they are allowed to throw use about 60something of the pitches to curve balls.... Not saying everyone is stupid, just look deeper into the situation, these kids get abused and its a fairly good reason for all of these injuries...

What time is the deadline? Midnight on the 16th or 11:59 on the 16?
Sorry if this has been answered, I didn't read the whole thread

WAFB said 11 pm on Mon. so it must be eastern time. I'm still not sure that's right though.

I was wondering about that, too. I've heard anywhere from 11 pm to 2 am CDT.
I bet it's 12 am EDT, which would make it 11 pm Baton Rouge time.

I know its not official, but Leblanc has said the Red Sox have given him a final offer and it wasn't close, and he is coming to LSU.

I thought I heard it's 12am whatever your local time is. So on the west coast, it would actually be 2am our time.

Sources say #RedSox fourth-round pick Garin Cechinni, an LSU signee, definitely is expected to sign by deadline. #mlbdraft, #lsu about 2 hours ago via TweetDeck

How big of a loss is this, considering Jacoby Jones is very likely to make it to campus? I'm sure a spot could be found for Cechinni, but I guess at this point is better than losing a pitcher.

I agree with you but boy I wanted him. However it seems he has never been that firm on coming here

I'm hoping to get either Ranaudo or Z. Lee. 1/2 would be good
