Just like Von Rosenberg and Colvin last year.

Just saying.

Von Rosenberg signed on the 8th of August last year...he wasn't even close to moved in to his apartment.

Adam, what are your thoughts on Gausman? If we could land Lee, Gausman, and Eades, that would be an awesome rotation.

I think Gausman is wearing an LSU uniform. The Dodgers if anything seem more willing to try and signing Lee.

I'm out, will be back later this evening!

Imagine if our 3 weekend starters all ended up being true freshmen -- though I think Ben Alsup will have a little something to say about that.

I'd take it in a heartbeat. Look at what guys like Purke and Cole did for their teams. Having a 1st round pitcher gives you a huge advantage.

Now if by some divine intervention, AR comes back. Jesus Christ it wouldn't be fair

This day could go down in history as the best for LSU recruting

If it all goes as we hope, we can have 2 first rounders in the weekend rotation

Purke and Cole are the exception to the rule, but I could see Gausman coming in and starting quickly. He's struggled this year in HS and summer league, but with a year of practice/preparation at LSU, I would expect him to be on his A game. Lee, I wouldn't expect much from. He may be splitting time between football practices and baseball next spring, if he plays at all. Depending on what happens this fall, he may elect to focus on fb full time even.

We should have an official Z. Lee board for this event.

I don't think peope truly appreciate yet how good Gausman can be, assuming something doesn't happen at the last minute. Kid could be our closer this year if need be. He has some velocity, thats for sure.

And I forgot to mention Eades, who also has a chance to be a great pitcher.

Eades seems to be getting lost in the discussion, but he could come in and become a weekend starter right away.

There is a good chance, we'd have Lee, Glausman, and Eades and then add Matty Ott who appears to have righted the ship and boom you have several quality arms that you didn't have last season

Not to be an asshat, but I don't see your logic in that statement.

He would be at best the 3rd string QB in football, for the time being. He has already received the playbook, so he should know most of the language. Even if he were to play, it could be a "watered down" version, due to his freshman status.

Chad Jones was the STARTING safety, and made an impact on the Baseball team. Now I do understand that QB and Safety is in no way comparable, the fact that Lee will more than likely not see the field in football, should not diminish his role on the baseball team.

Lee would come in and be a weekend starter from day 1, kid was a first round pick. He would rarely have to practice and would still be a weekend starter. Kid can throw 95 and has 3 plus pitches that he has command of. That dude has no idea what he's talking about.

dude Kyle Parker STARTED at QB for Clemson this year and hit 20 HR's for their baseball team. If he can play baseball everyday in the spring and start QB in the fall, I think Lee could handle pitching once a week
