A group of us are heading down to Argentina on Friday. We are staying about 20-30 miles outside of Cordoba. Has anyone hunted this area?

Let us know how it is. I'm currently trying to set up a Cast and Blast (flyfishing/dove hunt) down there. I am curious to know how much your trip will end up costing. I hear buying the shells down there are what end up getting you. Any info would be appreciated.

My dad went and said they provide you with one case and after that shells are a 11 bucks a box and he shot over a case and a half a day.

One of my buddies went last year. Came back with a huge bruise on both shoulders. After he wore his first arm out he switched to the other.

They shot a shitton of parakeets too.

Yes, this is strictly a hunting trip. We are flying into Buenos Aires, and then on another flight to Cordoba. The flight to BA is an overnight flight. We are renting guns there and the shells cost $11.50 per pox. Apparently you can shoot as much as 2-3 cases per day if you desire. From what I've heard, bruises and blisters aren't uncommon. The doves are non-migratory and considered pests by the farmers who welcome hunters with open arms. I've also heard that shooting parakeets is fun as well. I'll report back when we return.

a very good friend of mine just got back from there about a week ago. in one day he shot down 5100+ birds. this is the second time he has gone and says its absolutely insane. according to him, the shell bill for him and his dad were more than the entire trip, including airfare, lodging and food.

One of our VP's at work went and came back with a couple of thousand dove. Said it was unbelievable. Also be prepared to eat a lot of beef at every meal. Agentenians are beef lovers.
