Jefferson and Orleans Parish or in Hancock and Harrison County Mississippi?
The poor attendance for the Tiger Tour in New Orleans made me think of this. I'm overwhelmed by the purple and gold I see on the MS Gulf Coast. I see more LSU apparel and merchandise there than I do in Metro NO.

It may have to do with the BR vs NOLA thing also. You never see a whole lot of LSU gear in NOLA and you really don't see a lot of Saints gear in BR except for this past football season whenever everyone jumped on the bandwagon.

There are TONS of fans in NOLA...way more than the Gulf...this thread sucks.
Not as many people go around in the same freaking les miles white collar shirt the EVERYONE in BR thinks is appropriate to wear to any event, regardless of formality. I think every BR resident is given one of these shirts as part of their water/garbage bill.
I am a huge LSU fan and attend almost all of the games for many years now...I wear LSU (other than a hat occasionally) ZERO in my everyday life.
We have a pro sports team here that garners a lot of the people who are into sporting team merchandise on a semi-daily basis.

BR and NOLA Tours aren't that big because these fans see the program routinely.

Yeh...it never occured to me to even think about going. I am ready for ATL to see this team in action...I don't need coaches spewing BS over crappy banquet food.

i would venture to say more in Hancock and Harrison. i lived in long beach for 14 years and LSU is the heavy favorite over moo u, ole piss, and the buzzards.
i think the nola area is more consumed by the Saints.... obviously

There are a shitload of LSU fans in Hancock County..that i know..Bay St. Louis is pretty much all LSU fans. Harrison County is VERY pro-LSU and that's pretty much the only team you see there besides the Ole Miss and State gear..and even the LSU stuff outnumbers them.

Does USM have a strong fanbase on the coast?? Seems like a lot of kids down there would attend USM.

Yeah, i forgot about them ha..but they're not really considered up to par with SEC schools,so it's just like a ton of people have USM stickers, but some of those same vehicles sport LSU tags on front. I think it may be because their kids attend USM or something. IDK
