you mean like when davey blew against florida the week after ut, and then he got hurt in that game, all the while booty then went out and won the next 4 games

No I mean how Booty blew against Houston, Auburn, UAB, and Arky!!!

From Wiki: As a senior (2001), Davey had the QB position to himself (Booty had gone to the National Football League); and he led LSU to its first Top 10 finish since 1987 and its first SEC Championship since 1988.

BTW: how about this for a 5th overall pick....
Josh holds the Kane County Cougars and entire Midwest League single-season strikeout record. (Note: he wasn't a pitcher so you figure it out).

I don't understand why people love to bash some former LSU players. Booty came to LSU with incredible expectations that no one could match. He was expected to make the LSU program on top of the world. Booty should have been redshirted in 99, after UAB he played very well in 2000, well enough to get all-SEC QB honors.

Where he fricking batted .269!!

He couldn't hack it there either. That's why he came crawling back to LSU, because he needed to find another professional sports career to flop at.

And I don't understand why people love to bash CURRENT LSU players.

To me it is much better to "bash" former players that flopped, then current players that still have potential to have a positive impact on a game or on the team overall!

you obviously don't follow baseball very closely because making a big league roster alone means you are a fricking stud. josh booty must have fricked your gf or something because this pure hatred is just hilarious

Not unless Josh fricked his own cousin, and I wouldn't know if he did or not. I follow baseball. And I know he didn't play any meaningful innings so don't give me that shite. With what he had to pay back to the Marlins for breach of contract, if he could have hacked it in the majors for any decent amount of time, he would have stayed in pro baseball.

obviously you don't. do you know how many awesome baseball players don't amount to shite in the pros. i guess brandon larson was garbage, as well as eddy furniss, and a host of others.

What sport did you excel at when you were at LSU? How long was your professional baseball career?

And you're bashing a player who was all-SEC. He wasn't a flop.

You just received my fricking retard award

Congrats..

You just said a baseball player couldnt hack it because he made it to the highest level of pro baseball?

Im sure the only reason he made it was because the SEC coaches paid the Marlins to bring him up during a World Series run so he could eventualy get a WS ring and decide to play football. Those coaches just wanted those INTs.

He played in 13 MLB games thats far more than your sorry arse or 99% of all baseball players will ever achieve. He was in the majors for THREE YEARS!

They were great COLLEGE baseball players. Not so much in the pros. I didn't say Booty wasn't a great high school baseball player. Obviously he was a great high school play. But a great pro? Not even close, and if you think so then he must be licking your ....

13 games in the majors! HELL YES I WOULD CALL that a career dumbass.

To top that off he has a big fricking World Championship ring!

Ever think that he was satisfied with his baseball career and wanted to give football a shot?

Until you show evidence of any appearance in MLB just SHUT THE frick UP!

Most minor leage players dream of sniffing a MLB field and many former GREAT LSU players never made it. You think their careers were in failure too?

Wow how bum fricking stupid are you??

You realize he played 5 seasons in the minors too. He wasnt good there? The fricking world champions just called him up to play him because he sucked.. keep proving your ignorance you are doing a great job of it.

Oh and being voted Minor League Defensive Player of the Year in 1997 was just because he was good in HS.

he made the major leagues so yes, he was a great pro. and i don;t see you coming here and dogging lsu greats that couldn't even surpass AA ball, but yet you feel the need to say booty sucks at baseball too because he ONLY made the majors but didn't excell there. you're so off base it;'s not even funny.

How many people in HISTORY have been on an NFL roster and have a world series championship ring?

The guy was never all-pro but to say he wasnt a good player especially at baseball is just stupid.

BTW I knew Booty while he was at LSU and he was a fricking a-hole. So I sure as hell am not sticking up for the guy because I like him.

The point is that you're an a-hole for going out of your way to bring down a former player. You profess to hate it, and rightly so, when others berate current players. It's just as shitty to go after former players. Davey is my all time favorite LSU QB, but I still believe that LSU was lucky to have 3 draft worthy QB's at the same time.
