would you agree he's likely our most disciplined hitter? That kid is a tough out.

I think he has one of the lowest of the starters.

Yeah, he worked the count well in the 9th and 11th, and then found a way to extend the game.

That's a nice sig quote too.

he is exactly the type of kid we should be recruiting. he is an outstanding college baseball player. he may never make it to the majors, but you never know, i personally think he is a better player than ryan theriot.

dk rouge out, but he's usually an extremely tough out. I rarely see a a quick AB with him.

at the plate he has come along way in a short time. This year he actually looks as if he has the same approach as DJ last year at the plate.
He makes a pitcher work very hard to get him out, and he excells in the clutch, more so than others.

Austin (390) and Gaudet (363) are the only 'regular' starters below 400..

fyi: Katz is 400 and Edward is 389 (they don't have enuff AB's to be in list with the 7 'regulars')..

what I couldn't find was the percentages with 2 outs or with runners in scoring position, am betting Nola is up there with the best..

He has seriously become one of the most reliable clutch hitters on the team. The kid has improved light years in his time here.

Great attitude and great player, I think he will get paid next year for this. I would not be surprised if he was drafted in the top 3 rounds next year

WHOA!!!

I like Austin Nola and everything he's done for LSU, but top 3 rounds is pretty lofty.

If he continues to improve with the stick and maintains his range/arm/fielding percentage, I don't see the 3rd round as all that "lofty" for him.
