Congrats to Catholic High Bears

Congrats on winning the 5A title. The Bears played well all weekend and earned the title. Lafayette played a great game against Barbe to get to the finals but didn't have enough today to win it; great season Lions.
For the idiots standing behind the right center field wall hollering all the vulgar things at the Lafayette centerfielder, you are a disgrace to your school (they were Catholic High students). We could hear you all the way across the field in the Hitting Facility. Calling a high school athlete a gay, dick sucker and F@ck You is real classy. Glad to see the Tournament reps visit out there shut you punks up.

Jesus Christ dude their 17 years old. If it pisses you off so much you should have gone to find out what their names were and called CHS on Monday. You more than likely would have gotten them suspended for a couple days at least.
But lighten the frick up.

Catholic's student section chants were gay as frick as well. That OOOO thing they did whenever they were up to bat was one of the most stupid/annoying thing I think I've ever heard.

He was there. There was a group of about 12 junior CHS guys that were heckling the 3rd basement and Brother Barry came and ripped into them about sportsmanship. The things they were saying were completely harmless and the 3rd baseman was actually laughing and having a good time with what was being said.
Coach Kelly also came and said that there was to be no heckling of the 3rd baseman.
I love CHS academically, but I had forgotten that the school has a "no fun" policy. For a student to stay in a good light with the administration, he really has to give up the American "high school experience." The order they enstill within the boys is great, but they often times push it beyond its necessary limits. In that regard, I do not agree with their approach. And they wonder why all of their graduates revolt once they graduate and enter college. I think everyone appreciates the education and the opportunities, but the level of discipline is egregious.

My brother explained it to me. Evidently it is related to a siren that goes off next to campus. The students would make that sound in class and it pissed off a lot of teachers. So I guess it became a cheer?

Exactly, the administration is so concerned with keeping up the "image of a catholic high student" that they won't let anyone do anything that would go slightly out of line with that.
