Jack saw MIB posing as his dad. He told Jack that a few episodes back. Not sure about Ben, i cant really remember what happened when he saw his mom, i would be willing to bet though that it was MIB

as much as people are bitching about this season (which is retarded because this season has given us some of the BEST episodes) and last nights episode (which i also believe fell short on SOME answers) you are all missing the truth and tragedy of it all (TRUE LOST fans). LOST is almost over! Its like a close friend or relative dieing and you know the exact day! There telling you the stories of their life and all your doing is complaining on what the should have done diff or what they left out. The fact is LOST will be gone soon and instead of bitching until the end hold its hand and cherish the moments we have left! I've never loved a show this much. Entourage is good and so was Sopranos but THIS SHOW is the best show I've ever seen and I'm grateful for all the time its given me (good or bad). If you don't agree with this you are not or fall short of being a TRUE LOST fan and you should continue picking apart the greatest show your eyes will ever see. why not?

reading this post just made me realize that fans that didn't like this episode are all having "Ben" moments right now.

we thought there was a great purpose behind this but in actuality it was just a test of faith.

all of us bashing this episode (me included) are stabbing jacob right now.

writers intention??????

eta: we've been pushing a button since 2004. irony's a motherfricker.

I'm highly disappointed but not as frustrated as last night. This episode definitely should be slept on. I guess I can buy that the woman was half smoke because she did say she went in once. She seemed to be torn between good and evil, kind of like MIB.

I still think MIB is a bitch arse hoe for getting slapped around like that. Jacob seems utterly clueless even after living with the original smokey for 30 years. Hard for me to believe some serious questions didn't come up somewhere in between there.

I'm confused and mildly disappointed. I feel like they shot this at the last minute and said...well we have to explain this. It was vaguely reminiscent of Huge talking to Michael about the noises. Just random retarded crap that makes absolutely not logical sense.

I don't think its ever been said.
But the people including Claudia and the crazy mom were speaking Latin, so it can't be any earlier than about 300-400B.C. or so.

was that spanish the woman was speaking? according to wikipedia, spanish evolved in the 10th century, so that would be a major anachronism

Yes, there is. It's just that LOST isn't doing it.

Someone brought up The Sopranos earlier. I just finished watching that entire series and I never once felt ripped off, betrayed, or lied to by the creative team. I've felt like that for pretty much all of season 6 of LOST.

I am capable of enjoying TV shows, but LOST has truly lost its way and is no longer as entertaining or engaging as it once was. There are many of you trying to hold onto something you once felt so passionate about, but your zeal exposes your trepidation.

I thought the donkey wheel explaination was dumb at best.

It seemed as though the wine was what made you become protector of the island (ceremonial). MIB destroyed the wine bottle in Ab Aeterno. I wonder if there is any left for the next protector?

how about the most important episode. THE FINALE was garbage! if LOST sucks so much then stop watching. some of you don't even deserve the finale of this show.
