I did that to see how many, if any, posters would come forward and say that they'd be willing to give up the NC in order to have the best available coach and an potentially brighter future.
If the option was both the best available coach and the national title, I'm guessing there'd be only a handful of posters who'd rather have Miles. Maybe you’re right and the alternative should be presented and see who would still want to retain Miles in that scenario.

The VAST majority of LSU football fans would take the NC & best available coach (regardless of what the Miles drones on TD say).
