well, I guess that the draft settles any debate about that. Shame that many on here didn't appreciate Hester when we had him.

hester is really proving how great he is in the pros.

not like williams wasn't coming off a very serious leg injury either...

hester was overused as far as carries in 07, keiland was underused his whole career. if k.w had gotten carries he deserved, he would have gotten drafted already.

Not reading this whole thread. Just sayin' that Jacob Hester is one of the all-time best at LSU. Leadership, integrity, work ethic, team player, skills, heart. He had it all.

Hester should have learned how to block like a real fullback IMO. That '07 team with him committed to playing fullback would have been so versatile in the backfield with Williams/Scott lined up behind him in the I.

His skills out of the backfield and short yardage running could have been a huge bonus at FB, and the RB position would have been handled by more versatile backs.

I appreciated Hester. solid FB.

KW had a knee injury, I think it was in his 2nd season. That was it. Lost his speed. Same as another LSU player, VINCENT, who was MVP in a bowl and didnt have a big career after an injury.

The average RB career in the NFL is 4 years. the union retirement requires FiVE years.

I love KW, and he did some good things at LSU, but he's probably the most overrated player of the last 5 years in many circles.

KW is a better player skill wise, but Hester has ment alot more to the tigers, he puts more into the game the KW he is alot more of leader then KW.

So Hester is alot better then KW at the stuff you can't teach, but KW has better teachable skills.
