ESPiN covered his first pitch in exactly the same way I would imagine the Venezuelan sports network covers Chavez.
I can't stand the site of him so when it came on Baseball Tonight I flipped the channel, waited 15 secs, then went back, still on, did it a few more times. I swear they took two minutes on a GD first pitch. It's not like he is the first president to ever do one.

Quite honestly, liberal politicians are the absolute worst at anything relating to sports. I still remember Maryland's lieutenant governor at the time Kathleen Kennedy Townshend absolutely butcher the description of a kick return for a TD. She didn't even know what a touchdown was. And then, she lost the gubernatorial election in a heavy, overwhelmingly Democratic state so it was a double epic fail on her part.

sometime after college in the mid 80's, but there's no excuse for not knowing the names of Frank Thomas, Robin Ventura, Jack McDowell, or Bo Jackson
