Chris was EASILY the 2nd best player to ever wear the purple and gold, with apologies to His Shaqnificant.

I was in Denver when MAR started with his black separatist, Muslim infantilism.

He was at that point, a very sad spectacle, who had tried to replace his own alienation at the world (tourettes, extreme poverty, family dysfunction, really poorly educated, largely ignorant of any knowledge of American ideals & history) with some kind of meaning, some kind of value system, that would provide him with some inner peace.

Sadly for him, he picked one that leads only to further alienation, and that is Fundamental paranoid black separatism/jailhouse Islam.

I am glad he is doing well and living in Japan. I will always pull for him.

Remove the first and last sentences and I'm with you 100%.

Pistol is first with Shaq second, IMO. I just wish I could've gotten to watch Pete play live.

Chris was brilliant. Was my basketball hero. Way better than Shaq in college - not even close.

ETA: I agree his jersey needs to be hung from the rafters of the PMAC. It's borderline religious prejudice that it's not. Although if I had to pick a religion to be prejudiced against it would be Islam
