Is it ok to say he is the better coach?

Is it ok to say I wish he hadn't left?

I mean geez people who turned around a failing Bama program in two years?

I mean don't get me wrong I want to see Miles succeed, but these past two years have been barely satisfactory. He's got to make improvements next season or he can put his head between his knees and kiss his bum goodbye.

You have a man crush on little nickie and you are not alone in your love of him on this board, but stop whining and get off your knees. The man wouldn't piss on you or LSU if you were on fire.

Les is the LSU coach and has been for 5 years. Don't you think it's time for you to get over Saban and back the man who is the LSU coach and not the one who told LSU to stick it up their arse? Come on, man the frick up.

Don't be too sure of that.

LSU has beaten Top 25 team and LSU has loss to Top 25 teams in Miles' career. Every coach LSU has EVER had has done the same including Nick with his 0-3 top 25 record in 04

Are you seriously comparing going 0-3 vs. top 25 in one year to the putrid performance Miles has had in his last couple of years vs. the top 25?

if your opinion is that LSU year in and year out is the most talented team in college football, please give me some of what you are smoking

Typical shitty coach apologist bullshite. LSU is not always the most talented team in college football. LSU is more talented than Ole Miss and Penn State, and a hell of a lot more talented than Louisiana Tech, so there's no excuse for losing to the first two and nearly losing to the other one.

Les Miles is the George Bush of college football

So does that mean LM will be succeeded by a coach who's never really done anything substancial and secretly will hate the school?

Many of the posters on the rant don't deserve a good coach. They are too critical of anything that Miles does. Can't compare him with anyone but himself. He and Saban coached different players and played against different players at different times. Sure, Miles has made mistakes. Show me a coach that hasn't. Right now, Miles is the best coach at LSU. Get over it. He ain't leaving. And fksk Saban.......

No, it means Les Miles will be succeeded by a great orator, a pragmatist, and someone who loves his school so much he will make hard and unpopular decisions to see it return to its former glory.

we are alot more talented than the LA Techs & ULLs of the college football world

In the last two years how many have we beaten??

sadly, unless he has a 7-5 or worse season next year, i agree.

I support the LSU football team
as do I.. but I do not support Less as the coach... I think he's in over his head, and the last two years have give us a glimpse of whats to come if he stays...

I know, I know.. we're "poised" to win the West and a NC next year....
I really do hope I am wrong, but i don't believe i am...

There might be a baseball coach at LSU that would argue that point...

And if you mean Miles is the best head football coach at LSU right now, he's the only one.

I think people may have been expecting Miles to put his finger prints on the program.
What is beginning to dawn on some of us is that he has put his fingerprints on this program. The last two seasons.

I don't know what we are ""poised" to do as I can't see the future, but a West title would be ok with me.

I think Miles has the ability to run the program very well.
As we know now after two very frustrating seasons, potential and performance are not actually "givens" anymore at LSU. He may have the potential to run the program well, but has he? Look at the way LSU has been trending since mid 2007 season (even tho' LSU won the MNC that year, it took some acts of God to move things to the point it was even possible).

What I started to say was this: Ok, some of us are able to believe in CLM as the good man he is. I'm one of them. Some have lost total confidence in his ability to coach LSU to the level of excellence we should be seeing from our teams. I'm one of them too.

The only one who can change all our perceptions is Les Miles himself. Let his prove his worth next season. We'll all see, for sure, what he's made of.

The first 2 are more mature teams and Tech also played #4Boise to 45-35, LSU 24-16 without starting QB (Lee 7/22 105yds).
OM game wasn't that close, but LSU almost made it happen.
PSU would've been an LSU win with a better field imo.

The ones who get bloated contracts for poor performance, raises when they don't deserve them, and the ones who are allowed to stay and coach in bowl games so they can get their bonuses, even though they suck and have one foot out the door.
