The number one recruit in the state of Louisiana (Reed) should be signed, sealed and delivered to LSU every year. If LSU can't do that, then yes, there's something wrong somewhere. Houston, we have a problem......

Do you think this is normal or is it a sign of a downward spiral in football?

LSU losing 1 recruit is the sign of the downward spiral of the football program....

You do know that no LSU coach has ever done that every year, don't you?

Has it EVER occurred to anyone that some kids might just want to leave this wonderful state of ours??? Its not like other universities provide better options than ours or anything...

I'm a little concerned too, but this isn't the end of times. I agree that in MOST years, LSU should land the number 1 player in Louisiana with ease. It will be the end of times if this continues, but for one season I wouldn't start having a panic attack just yet

So, you see going from 7-5, 7th in the SEC, and unranked to 9-3, 3rd in the SEC, and nationally ranked as a "downward spiral", huh?

The reason Davis decommitted was he finally got an offer from Texas which was his first choice. No big deal. There are still several who haven't committed that are better than Davis and Gonzales and Wilson are on them hard.

I think it is due directly to the negatigers continually pointing out the deficiencies of our coaching staff during some of our nationally televised games. These kids read this site and all the negativity pointing out the inadequacies of our staff's gameday performances have let the cat out of the bag so to speak. Thanks negatigers.

Let's see.....

We are the only school in one of the most talent rich states in the country.

We have first class facilities.

Nationally ranked? This should be a given. LSU shouldn't sniff being unranked.

See the big fricking picture. This program is done under this coach.

These are all reasons why the program is not done under this coach and why it gets turned back around pretty quickly.

Commit, de-commit, re-commit, re-de-commit ,,, I've stopped sweating the details on a lot of this. The one area where Miles has excelled is recruiting, and while we may not have the #1 class this year, I'd bet a peso or two we'll finish in the top 10. We'll get our share, others will get their share: that's how it's basically worked out ever since I started following this stuff.

Besides, at this point I'm more concerned about how the players who do sign with LSU are DEVELOPED. Give me a top 10 class and I'm satisfied we got kids who can compete. Now coach 'em up Les and earn your $3.8 mil salary.

On signing day LSU will have 25 guys that will be thrilled about suiting up for LSU. That's all that matters!

Yep... ULL, SLU, & Tulane are littered with guys that would have loved to play at LSU.

Steve I can count 3 decommits and we haven't picked up any. You people in denial remember this a year or so from now. And I hope I am wrong.
