re: OFFICIAL American Idol Season 9 Thread

After watching tonight's episode, it is painfully obvious to me that the Judges and AI higher ups want the following:

1. Crystal Bowersox out.
2. Big Mike Lynche in the final.
3. Lee DeWyze in the final.
4. Casey James gone tomorrow night.
5. Aaron to be in the final three.

To be honest, Big Mike pwned tonight, but does not have near the talent of Crystal Bowersox (who is head and shoulders above ANY of them), Lee DeWyze, and Casey James.

Aaron Kelly goes home and my predicted casey vs crystal final is still in play

Big Mike goes home next

Unless Mamasox gives a signature performance, she'll be Jennifer Hudson'd/Melinda Doolittled next week.

Crystal wasn't in the bottom two, or at least, we don't know whether she was. They were called out "in no particular order". I think the order was likely Crystal, Lee, Casey and Big Mike, with the latter two, pretty close.

I thought Casey would go tonight. That song, last night, reminded me of Tiny Tim. He was awful.

Not a great night for anyone, but I did think the Crystal/Lee duet was excellent.

I thought Crystal would win it, but I'm not so sure, now. I think either could take. Casey goes next week. I don't know how he survived this long. I think he sounds like any old band would at a high school dance, most of the time and worse, sometimes. Seems like a good guy, though.

Crystal gets a record deal no matter what happens. Lee maybe gets one no matter what happens, but I'm a Lee fan.

really? you think he has less credentials than miley cyrus, shania twain, adam lambert and so on? they said his accomplishments when they introduced him and also said he was invited back because of his success with the contestants last season. i didn't see that but i thought he did fine.

i like the final 3, i was shocked to see casey stay but i'm not a huge fan of big mike anyway. nothing about him, i just don't like the maxwell type stuff he's good at.

hopefully casey gets some help somehow picking a song next week, that seems to be his biggest problem.

i'd say he, usher and harry connick were good. i can't remember all of them.

he's a pretty accomplished dude, obviously his acting. he's had 3 albums and the more recent 2 are both multi-platinum and he has at least 1 grammy. i didn't go researching or anything to find out if theres more...

the main deal is he has a new album coming so i'm sure they put him on the show to help get awarness and promote him, i'm sure it's the motive behind many of them as well.

Casey was bad on both songs. BORING! I think Kara screwed him on the show because she couldn't do it, physically. He's done.

Crystal was very good. I was expecting something else in song choice and there was no WOW factor.

I loved Lee on that song. I love his voice and I want him to win. I thought he was better than the other two, but I didn't see a WOW factor with him, either. He was just better than the others.

Lee and Crystal should be in the finals and that's been the way it was from Day 1. No other choices. The season sucked. If it wasn't for Crystal and Lee, I would have stopped watching.
