Player admits to delaying the game, ref can't deny allowing player to delay the game, tigers lose. Sucks.

As someone who is married to a die hard Tiger, I thought your second half adjustments were great. That is a sign of good coaching.

Correct, but it's wrong to go on as if nothing happened.

That last penalty was very controversial per these comments.

With NFL officials, would the call be "Delay of Game" against the defense in this situation?

please, the refs for the fl, al, om and psu game were all out to get les fired. it's all les's fault.

nope, not even an admission by the cheater will get the ranturds off of miles' back.

p.s. ranturds don't just smell bad.

No because they would never do some chicken shite like that. That's not football. The guy will get what he deserves

No, never.

Not like intentionally jumping offsides on 3rd and 3 on PSU's game winning FG drive. Where is the gnashing of teeth over that missed call?

I think what everyone is forgetting is that the penalty flag was thrown when Hitt picked Bowman up and threw him down. Had he kept his cool, Bowman would have probably been flagged for delay of game and you may have even had time added to the clock. Playing football for 10 years and coaching for another 10, what Bowman did is part of the game. Is it in the gray area? Probably. Is it gamesmanship. Yeah. But so is hitting the center before the snap (don't pretend this didn't happen on several occasions). LSU would have done the same thing if the roles were reversed, I don't care what anyone says. Most of you will disagree but here are some things I hope we can all agree on:
1) field was an embarassment
2) thank god no one on either team was hurt as a result
3) the Citrus Bowl is a dump

I just didn't think removing players from a pile was a personal foul. IF anything PSU should have gotten a flag for not getting the F off the fricking ball.

I can tell you as a former official that it should never have come to Hitt getting involved. I myself have stopped the clock when those type of shenanigans go on and was shocked that that crew allowed that situation to escalate the way it did. It was obvious that PSU was deliberately delaying and it is well within the discretionary rights of the officiating crew to stop the clock immediately in that situation. While we're at it the crew in Oxford could have added the 2 seconds back to the clock that ran off after Toliver was tackled. Seen that done many times as well. Just not a year when the Tigers were going to get the officiating breaks to even out, especially when you take the 'Bama game into account. Hopefully they get their share of the calls next season.

I appreciate your comps, however, you apparently haven't been watching LSU throughout the season

Players do that all the time. Penalties are rarely, if ever called. ANy smart player on LSU would have done the same.

Playing field, refs, this? Does LSU ever lose just because they got beat or outplayed?

Just a simple case of the more clever, more intelligent, players and coaches working the refs and pushing the limits of the rules without breaking them.

And a case of our guys looking stupid out outwitted...again.

If by "get what he deserves" you mean drafted in the first round and millions of dollars in the NFL then yes...NB will get what he deserves. ESPN has him rated as the #1 OLB in the NFL draft.

Even after watching it multiple times I thought the umpire threw the flag after twice putting his hand on Hitt to back him up (before he threw Bowman.) I could see the umpire yelling at him for doing it but the flag was excessive.

You should be blaming the umpire for throwing the flag in the first place.

I did not notice that. Will have to watch again. If he told Hitt to stop, then the flag certainly was not excessive

Agreed. I know its frustrating to get bad calls, but if we had showed up in the first half we would have won this game.
