Warning: Absolute Bias. Mine goes to Martin Landau winning Best Supportng Actor for Ed Wood over Sam Jackson in Pulp Fiction at the 1995 Oscars.
Who's your biggest snub/least favorite winner?

Saving Private Ryan getting screwed by the Hollywood liberal POS crowd is the worst of all time.
Close second: Annie Hall beating Star Wars for Best Picture.
Seriously. Annie Hall?
This
. . . beats Darth Vader

The only Woody Allen movie that deserved any awards was Crimes & Misdemeanors.

There are no standards for determining which category (i.e.; Best Actor or Best Supporting Actor) that an actor is nominated in. The studios can nominate whoever they want in whichever category they want. In 1980, Timothy Hutton was nominated for Best Supporting Actor for Ordinary People and won. Hutton was very good, but the movie was ostensively about him. He should have been nominated for Best Actor, not supporting actor. I always thought this was grossly unfair.
WRT Shakespeare in Love and Saving Private Ryan, Elizabeth was better than both of them.

Halle Berry. She literally made her nomination a race issue and dared the voters not to vote for her or be considered racist. I've disliked that woman ever since.

The Dark Knight not getting a Best Picture nod and win.

Anytime those idiots in the Academy give an Oscar to a 10 year old...i.e., Tatum O'Neal in "Paper Moon", Anna Paquin in "The Piano"--c'mon--if acting is such a serious "craft", some newcomer preteen is better at it than those who've studied and performed for decades?
Also, Gandhi winning over E.T.--even Richard Attenborough, who directed Gandhi, said E.T. should win.

The Oscars don't take movies seriously. They just like to pretend they do.

Sean Penn (Mystic River) beating out Johhny Depp (Original Pirates of the Caribbean).
They awarded one of the most overused characters (a boohoo daddy) over one of the most original characters in the last 15 years (Jack Sparrow).

I always thought Joaquin Phoenix in Gladiator as Commodus should have won the Best Supporting Actor award over Benicio Del Torro in Traffic.
I thought Kate Winslett in Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind deserved Best Actress over Hillary Swank for Million Dollar Baby.
Chicago beating anything for Best Picture
Shakespeare in Love beating Saving Private Ryan
Titanic beating Good Will Hunting
I will throw out another one that a lot of yall will probably disagree with but Driving Miss Daisy beating Dead Poets Society and Field of Dreams was pretty bad IMO.
