Saban threw his headset on the ground, my wife said "wow is he mad", I responded they will not make that mistake again. I like his fire

This needed its own thread. Really. It did.

this reminds me a few years ago when saben was coach, Corner plays soft on play and opponent able to get first down, saban blows up in players face, next time that happens he jumps all over the player stopping him before the first down,

if a coach believes that his players have talent and ability, he owes it to them to chew their arse out if they are not playing to that capability.
i hate it when the coach is smiling at the kid after a royal screw up. he needs to let him know that he is better than that kind of mistake, and the expectations for him are set high, and he better damn well live up to them.
this applies to everything in life - school, work. did you learn more in classes where the expectations were high or where the teacher babied you along?

Yep remember when Shula used to stare at the field. Still not sure what was staring at. Maybe one of the players left a chicken bone from the bucket he brought to practice and Mikey saw it.
I remember losing to Northern Illinois and watching several players come off the field smiling and laughing and then watching Shiela do the same. THings have definately changed. The players and coaches actually care about winning.
If we win Fri. that will be 2 straight regular seasons unbeaten and THAT is a direct reflection of Saban expecting perfection. Not many teams have finished 2 straight regular seasons unbeaten. Not in the SEC anyway. Especially considering how $hitty we were when he got here. The no care attitude carried over into his first season, see Monroe game, until Saban finally got it across that its his way and its not debatable. Saban is in select company with the back to back undefeated reg seasons and its because he demands and expects people to play and play the way he teaches. If not, you're arse is gone. Ask 23 former underclassmen who are at places like South Florida and Samford now. Frankly, Julio needed his arse chewed. He knows that.
