First of all

Your post is a reality check. Screw all the pos-tiger vs nega-tiger what you describe are the feelings of every LSU fan whether they want to admit it or not. The following facts are also reality but watch the response I get.
1- Les ain't going anywhere unless it's on his own accord and RR isn't getting fired this year.
2-Miles lover PLEASE stop referring to his nat'l championship as some kind of dominant feat. 2 loss team that lucks up when the stars line up for them to go to the NC and beats up on a weak arse Ohio State team. FWIW the best team in the SEC that year and nation that year was UGA.
3- We are two plays from being 2-4 in conf this year against two teams that are "rebuilding".
4- Our offense is in complete chaos. The pre-snap BS and confusion is becoming more apparent every game and it's NOT the players. However at best MAYBE we get a new OC.
5-QUIT celebrating top 5 recruiting classes as our ticket to greatness. If we can't develop them once we have them here then it really doesn't matter. There is VERY little difference in recruiting classes 1-15 the star system is bogus.

So settle in for the ride b/c this season is a picture of what we can expect going forward. We will consistently lose to Bama & Fla. We will usually win 2/3 vs Arky,OM,and Auburn. We will continue to beat MS. State and hopefully whatever other East teams we play.

Yeah it's no fun but it's reality and way too many people around here will be just fine with 8-3 and a New Years Day bowl. It is what it is..

right. i'm glad that you enjoy watching the most grossly mismanaged wealth of talent in the country, because it makes me want to gouge my eyes out.

no bandwagon fan here, just somebody that would like to see a fair return on the investments that the lsu community has made.

Let's see
-wasting talent
- letting teams that shouldn't even be competing w u, compete w us till the 4th
- having a coach praise what we call crappy playing every week
- losing to bama and uf 2 years in a row
- watching a coach make 1 boneheaded game decision after another

hell no it isn't fun anymore. It's aggrevating! But hey, we r perfect in our bowl games under Les

agree with LSU77 and Dookie.

Have never met such complaining fans. I think if you asked any tiger fan pre-2003 about a top 10 ranking in Nov, they'd be pump.

you guys are getting worse than the NY Yankee fans up here. It's not the team that's not fun anymore, it's the fans

I recall a game in 2002, coached by our Lord and Savior Nick Saban, where LSU was shut out by Alabama 31-0. Pretty sure that was post-Hallman.
Agree, that wasn't fun, but at least it was against a formidable opponent, not LaTech, but your point is taken.

Oh, and I'm pretty sure Mississippis State won the West in 1998, so you are again mistaken there.
So you win by 3 years, but the point remains the same.

I've been a fan since the early 70's, probably before you were born, and going on 25 years now. Your point is lame, and flaming.

I will not, but I will continue to speak out if I smell a rotten fish. If LSU gets it together and looks like a real team again and the coach looks and acts like a real coach, I'll be supportive as well.

Hard to have a lot to cheer about when our offense has been so anemic the past 2 years

The offense wasn't anemic last year, just had the terrible habit of throwing touchdowns to the other team. That offense scored more points than the 2005 team, and only 36 total points less than the 2006 team. Those are teams that many on this bored feel were the best of recent memory.

This season on the other hand is quite different.

What about 2004's whopping 24-20 domination of Troy?

Very good point here. In this regard LSU = Notre Dame...and Les Miles = Charlie Weiss.

So despite Weiss having a worse record with easier schedule, you equate the two? No wonder you're not having any fun.

Why the hell did fans rush the field when we beat them in 2000 then?

I remember when going to the Independence Bowl was a huge deal for us. I loved the Tigers then and I love them now. And, yes, it is a hell of a lot of fun.
Nobody said we didn't love them. I love them. Perhaps too much, which is why the passion is so high and the disappointment so low, when watching them is equivalent to eating a bowl of bran cereal. Thanks, Les.

I'm over 50 ! Been a fan a long time. Hell I had fun and enjoyed LSU football when we went 2-9, came to every game and looked forward to every Saturday in the fall. If you can't enjoy LSU football for 12 weeks a year, you ain'y much of a fan. I HATE losing, HATE it, bbut I will always enjoy LSU football.

No, in regards the the mismanagement of the talent and the lack of ability to coach up 4 and 5 star recruits. If you can't see this trend, then I can't help you. Stop trying to twist the argument.

Just going to go ahead and ignore the fact that Saban lost to UAB while coaching here? Or are they a formidable opponent? That 2003 home loss to a mediocre Florida team wasn't great either.
